The Board has approved additional desert landscaping for the Association. In the coming month, the east/north sides of Paseo Real will be converted to desert landscaping. Not all will be converted, as we desire some green space along the stretch, both for aesthetics and for doggie relief. The design will be similar to that of Camino Jalan and Calle Barcelona.
The Association continues to pursue ways to reduce water usage. Even with the intense rains of the past month, drought conditions have not been completely erased in California. The Coachella Valley Water District has ended their severe penalty program, but they’ve also substantially increased water rates, and these are expected to climb even high in the coming years. It’s in the best interest of all to reduce water usage substantially from the levels of the past decades.
